BodyTalk understands that personal or group harmony, health and well-being can be impacted in a myriad of ways. Questioning through the Protocol Chart allows for a multitude of possibilities to be addressed.
Once a group of priority areas (links) are established, these parts of the Bodymind become connected to each other through gentle tapping at the head and heart. The session may also include other tapping techniques to support particular shifts in the Bodymind.
Once these 'links' are connected within the client, communications within the client's (or group's) whole Bodymind improve, leading to natural improvements in the addressed areas.
In practice, this process is exceedingly gentle, and results are significant.
Also, in that BodyTalk addresses issues on a 'consciousness level,' this work can be done very subtly, and even at a distance. Distance work is particularly supportive of those who live in rural areas, or are without easy access to healthcare or other supports.
What to Expect in a BodyTalk Session?
BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortable; they are done with the client fully clothed and comfortably seated or lying on a massage table. A BodyTalk session usually lasts between 15 and 45 minutes. The length of a session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur; as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound.
Sessions can be done on an individual or on an individual representing a group, such as a family, team, staff or clients of an organization, or a classroom.
After a review of individual or group concerns, the session begins with the client either relaxed in a chair or on a treatment table while the practitioner, positioned at the side, will gently move the client's arm in response to questions from the Protocol Chart. These arm movements indicate priority areas in the individual's or group's Bodymind that need to be 'linked' to each other. The Bodymind includes all parts of ourselves: physical, mental, emotional, energetic, relational, historical, and generational.
